JASPER, Ga. (April 10, 2006) - Piedmont Mountainside Hospital recently named three new managers to their staff. Jacqueline Underwood was appointed to Manager of the Intensive Care Unit, Josh Harmond joins the hospital as Finance Manager/ Controller, and Cindy London was promoted to Respiratory Care Manager.

"The addition of Jackie, Josh and Cindy to managerial positions is great for the hospital and the community. As managers, they will lead other staff members to an even higher quality performance level."
Underwood joins the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital team from John Glancy Memorial Hospital in Duluth. There she served as an ICU night charge nurse until becoming a house supervisor in June 2004. In her 11 years of nursing experience, Underwood has worked at Emory University Hospital in several areas, and as a senior research nurse for cardiac electrophysiology studies at Crawford Long Hospital of Emory University.
Underwood received her associate degree in nursing from DeKalb College, and completed her bachelor of science in nursing at Brenau University.
Harmond received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Mississippi University in Columbus, MS. He moved from Mississippi to Georgia to work as Accounting Manager at Hospital Corp. of America in Atlanta in 2002, and most recently worked as Client Services Manager at Optimum Physician Services.
London received her associate degree in applied science in respiratory care from Columbus State University and completed her bachelor's degree in business administration at American Intercontinental University. In her 14 years in the field, London has worked in the critical care department at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, and served as supervisor of the cardiopulmonary department at the Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation at the Carolina Medical Center.
London also currently serves as the facilitator for Piedmont Mountainside Hospital's Freedom from Smoking program, developed by the American Lung Association. Piedmont Mountainside Hospital sponsors the six-week course and hosts it at the hospital.
